Testimonials of our Alumni
CBI Alumni
Our alumni work in all sectors of industry, policy and decision making as well as in academia and keep close ties to the department.
As project manager in the team Tenant Electricity I work with my colleagues to bring the energy transition to cities. We implement tenant electricity projects throughout Germany and build photovoltaic systems on apartment buildings. My studies laid the foundation for this. I can apply the technical knowledge I have gained about energy generation on a daily basis” (Pauline Link, graduate of the degree program Energy Technologies).
The technical understanding acquired during my studies and, in particular, the methodological competence to quickly understand complex interrelationships help me in my daily work. Seeing challenges not in isolation, but always in the context of the overall process, is another basic competence taught in the CBI degree program and is very valuable in professional life” (Andreas Blank, graduate of the degree program Chemical and Biological Engineering).
What sets CEN apart is its focus on sustainability. For me, that was the reason why I chose degree program. During the studies students learn the basics of process engineering, always implementing current research work on new, green technologies. I work as a product manager for a sewage sludge dryer at HUBER in Berching. The sludge dryer is used to recover the finite resource phosphorus from the sewage sludge and feed it into fertilizer production. This is circular economy/recycling management” (Dominik Friedrich, graduate of the degree program Chemical Engineering – Sustainable Chemical Technologies).
Very strong focus on sustainable and innovative technologies, the variety of courses with options in German and English, renowned professors with a lot of commitment and experience – this combination makes CEN very attractive and future-proof, also on an international level. As a graduate, I work as a chemical engineer at the chemical group WACKER CHEMIE AG in Burghausen, on large investment projects that pursue sustainability as a strategy and as goals” (Dinesh Pandey, graduate of the degree program Chemical Engineering – Sustainable Chemical Technologies).
